Why I’m Taking a Short Pause
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve stepped back from the You Matter Card project. Until now, I had been pouring myself into it as a way of managing my grief since my sister’s death. The project gave me purpose and focus at a time when I really needed it.
But along the way, I slipped into some unhealthy habits — mostly using baked goods as comfort food and letting my diet and exercise routines fall away. While the project kept me moving forward, I realize I need to pause and give attention to my own health so I can keep this work sustainable in the long run.
This break is recent, and it’s not permanent. My goal is to re-establish healthier routines, build in more balance, and then return to the project with fresh energy.
If you’ve been wondering why things have been quiet lately, this is why. I appreciate your understanding and patience as I take care of myself. Grief has a way of reshaping our lives in unexpected ways, and I want to honor both my sister’s memory and the mission of the You Matter Card by approaching this work from a healthier place.
Thank you for walking alongside me on this journey.
