Why I Made This Card

My name is André.

I used to work in IT for the BC government. After experiencing untreated psychosis, I left my job and traveled, eventually falling into debt. Another psychotic episode led to me becoming homeless.

I made this card because I know what it’s like to be out there without knowing where to turn.

I created it in memory of my sister Eugenie, who died from alcohol use disorder. While I can’t speak to everything she was going through, I know she struggled deeply. This card is for her—and for anyone trying to help someone else with compassion, but not sure how.
